How Lantad compares
Fair, dated comparisons against the tools people weigh Lantad against, with the cases where the other tool wins stated on every page.
Choose a brand-monitoring platform when your open question is what assistants are already saying about you and where they source it. Continuous tracking across consumer apps, regions and languages is their job, and it is not Lantad's.
Choose Lantad when you need to know whether AI crawlers can read your pages at all, and to fix it when they cannot. It is the layer underneath: the free scan tells you where you stand today, before any subscription tells you what you are missing.
Pick a comparison
Four tools people ask about most. Competitor-side facts are checked against each company's own site and dated in our notes; anything we could not confirm is left out rather than guessed.

-
Lantad vs Semrush
Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit reports how often AI answers mention your brand; Lantad measures whether an AI crawler could read the page those answers would have to cite, and names the fix when it could not.
-
Lantad vs Ahrefs
Ahrefs Brand Radar tracks brand mentions and citations across AI platforms at very large scale; Lantad measures whether an AI crawler could read the page those citations would point at, and names the fix when it could not.
What Lantad will not claim
Comparison pages are where tools are most tempted to overstate. These are the lines this one holds.
No ranking promises
Nothing here promises a placement, a citation or a position in an AI answer. The deliverable is a measurement you can check.
No scraped consumer apps
Prompt tracking asks named APIs, an open-weight chain, and a public-SERP capture. It does not automate somebody's chat app and call it monitoring.
Competitor facts are dated
Every claim about another tool is checked against that company's own materials, with the date recorded. Anything unconfirmed is left out rather than guessed.
We name what we lack
No regions, no languages, no consumer-assistant monitoring over time. Where another tool does the job better, this page says so.
Lantad measures whether AI crawlers can read your pages; most tools on this page measure what AI already says about you. Those are two different layers of the same problem, and the second one depends on the first: an assistant cannot cite a page its crawler could not parse. Each comparison below states who each tool is for, sets the two side by side, and names where the other tool is the better buy.
Every claim about another product is taken from that company's own published material and carries the date it was last checked.
Common questions
Is Lantad an alternative to these tools?
Usually not a direct one. Most of the tools on this page monitor what AI assistants already say about a brand. Lantad measures and fixes whether AI crawlers can read the pages those answers would have to come from. Teams often run one of each.
Which one should I buy first?
Buy the one that answers your open question. If you do not know whether AI can read your pages, start with the free Lantad scan, because a monitoring subscription cannot tell you why you are absent. If your pages are already readable and you want to watch what assistants say week to week, a monitoring tool is the right purchase.
Are these comparisons fair?
They are written to be. Every claim about another product comes from that company's own published material, each page carries the date it was last checked, and each page has a section naming the cases where the other tool is the better choice. If you find something inaccurate, email hi@lantad.co and we will correct it.
Does Lantad track what AI says about my brand at all?
Narrowly. Prompt tracking asks named API and open-weight answer engines questions derived from your own page, then reports whether each answer named you and which other brands it named instead. It does not monitor the consumer assistant apps, and it does not run across regions or languages.
Start with your own number.
A comparison page is somebody else's argument. Run the scan and you have a measurement of your own site, free, in under a minute.
