See who AI can read: you or your competitor.
When a buyer asks an assistant about your market, one of you gets described and cited and one gets left out. Scan both and see the gap, measured rather than argued.
Two scores.
One honest gap.
The shape of a result, not a measurement of anyone. Each side carries its own Prose Parity, its own crawler access verdict, and its own ranked fixes, so a gap can always be traced to the thing that caused it.
Example output. Your comparison reports both sides' own figures, at their own link.
How to read it honestly
- Both sides run the same pipeline with the same weights. "Your site" is a label for framing the result, not a thumb on the scale.
- A report younger than 24 hours is reused for either side, so re-running inside that window shows the same snapshot.
- If either side cannot be graded, its card says "not graded" and the gap and sub-score table are withheld rather than guessed. A degraded result states what was measured and what was not.
- Domains that have opted out of LantadBot are never fetched, so a comparison against one cannot run.
Fetch both.
Render both. Diff both.
The same four passes the single-page scan runs, executed twice in one job so the two results are directly comparable rather than two scans read side by side.
-
Fetch both as a crawler
Two requests, both identifying honestly as LantadBot, both with no JavaScript. Neither side gets a browser at this stage.
-
Render both in a browser
The same two URLs load in a real browser, scrolled and settled, so each side has a full hydrated version to measure against.
-
Diff each side
Prose Parity, headings, links and structured data are diffed per side. The words that went missing are recorded for both.
-
Put the two together
Both scores land on one page with the gap named, plus the ranked fixes that would close it on your side.
A shareable result page, in four parts
Not a winner and a loser: four specific comparisons, each of which can be checked line by line.
The two scores
Both AI Visibility Scores with the four sub-scores that built each one, so a lead in structure cannot hide a deficit in parity.
The parity gap
How much of each side's rendered content reaches a crawler, by word. This is usually where the whole difference lives.
Crawler access, side by side
Each side's Access sub-score compared in the same table, with both full reports one link away for the per-crawler verdict across all 15 named crawlers.
Your ranked fixes
The fix list for your side only, ordered by impact. Their full report stays open to check, but the plan is built for the site you can act on.
Three people this settles an argument for
The comparison exists because 'we should be showing up' is not a measurement and nobody can act on it.
Founders and marketers
A competitor keeps appearing in AI answers and you do not. This says whether that is a readability gap or something else entirely.
- Before you pitch against a named rival
- When buyers research your category through assistants
- When a competitor relaunches their site
SEO and GEO teams
You need to show engineering that the difference is technical, not editorial, with a figure attached to it.
- Quantifying a readability gap for a roadmap argument
- Checking whether a rival's redesign helped or hurt them
- Tracing a gap to Prose Parity, Access, Structure or Schema
Agencies
A prospect asks why they are invisible. Two URLs and one link answer it before the first call ends.
- Opening a pitch with measured evidence
- Showing a client what the gap costs them
- Re-running after the fix to show it closed
Comparing your own pages rather than a rival? That is the multi-page scan: up to 8 pages of one site with a combined score and the worst issues ranked across the set.
A comparison is only worth having if both sides were measured the same way. Both URLs are fetched as a non-rendering crawler, rendered in a real browser, and diffed against each other by the same code, in the same run. Neither side gets a different method, a different crawler set, or a friendlier reading.
The result is a shareable link. Anyone can open it and check the working, including the competitor.
Common questions
Is the comparison free?
Yes. Two URLs, no email and no signup, and the result page opens for anyone you send it to without an account. It runs the same checks as the single-page scan, twice.
Will the competitor know I compared us?
No one is notified. Their page is scanned exactly like any other scan: the baseline fetch identifies itself honestly as LantadBot, and the scan follows the conduct rules published on our bot page. The result lives at an unguessable link that is excluded from search indexing, so only people you share it with will see it.
Do you scan the competitor differently?
No, and that is the point. Both sides go through the same fetch, the same render, the same diff and the same grading code in the same run. Neither side is given a friendlier reading.
Is it fair to scan somebody else's site?
The baseline fetch identifies itself honestly as LantadBot and requests one page, the same as any crawler visit. Site owners can opt out, and the crawler conduct page documents exactly what LantadBot requests and how often.
Why did my comparison finish instantly?
If either URL was already scanned in the last 24 hours, the existing report is reused instead of scanning again. Popular sites are often already in that window, so their side can appear immediately while yours scans.
What decides who leads?
The composite AI Visibility Score, 0 to 100, for each site. It weighs Prose Parity at 50%, Access at 25%, Structure at 15%, and Schema at 10%, and the sub-score table on the result shows who wins each of the four checks, so you see not just the gap but where it comes from. The full method is on the methodology page.
Do I get their fix list too?
The comparison page ranks fixes for your side only. Both full reports are linked from it, and every full report carries its own ranked fixes, so their evidence is open to check; the comparison itself just answers what you should do about the gap.
What if both sides score badly?
That is a common and useful outcome: it means the category is wide open, and the first site to become readable is the one an assistant can start citing.
Can I compare more than two sites?
A comparison takes exactly two URLs, but comparisons are free, so run one per rival. To grade several pages of your own site in one go, use the multi-page scan instead: up to 8 pages with a combined score.
Is a higher score a promise that AI will recommend me?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. A higher score is evidence that AI crawlers can read more of a page than they can read of the other one. Being readable and reachable is the prerequisite for being cited; it is not a ranking trick, and no tool can promise a citation.
How long does the comparison link stay live?
The link is shareable and excluded from search indexing. Scan data is kept for up to 18 months, after which it is deleted or made inaccessible.
Settle it with two URLs.
One run, both sides measured the same way, and a link anybody can open. If the gap is real, the fix list on your side is the shortest route to closing it.
