# Lantad privacy policy

## Key facts

- **Scan artifacts retention:** 18 months, after which they are deleted
- **Site analytics:** First party. No cookie, no cross-day identifier. The visitor key is salted with the UTC date and the salt rotates.
- **Raw IP addresses:** Never stored. Country and region are kept; city is not.
- **What the salt rotation does and does not promise:** It makes visits unlinkable across days by anyone who does NOT hold the salt. It is not a claim that a holder of the salt could not relink them, and the page says so.

## Why this page is unusually specific

The claims here are asserted by tests in the codebase, so a page that became untrue would fail a build before it misled anyone. That is also why the wording avoids the tidier, stronger phrasings: they would be false, and the tests ban them.
