# About Lantad

> Lantad is an independent AI-visibility scanner. It measures whether AI crawlers can read your site and whether AI answers cite it, and it withholds any grade it could not measure.

## Key facts

- **What it is:** A scanner that reads a URL the way an AI crawler does and grades whether AI can read and cite it.
- **The rule:** No grade is printed where it could not be measured. The report states what was measured, what was not, and why.

## What Lantad measures

Access, prose parity, structure and schema, combined into an AI Visibility Score with the weights published on [the methodology page](https://lantad.co/methodology). It fetches the page with no browser and no JavaScript, the way an AI crawler does, and compares that against a real browser render.

## It publishes against interest

The [crawlability study](https://lantad.co/research/crawlability-study) and the [blog](https://lantad.co/blog) report each measurement with its date and name what was not measured, including the finding that llms.txt has no measured effect on the engines that matter.

Lantad measures whether AI crawlers can actually read a page: it fetches as a non-rendering
crawler, renders as a browser, and reports the gap. Free scan, one URL, no signup.
